| What SiteMonNak does |
SiteMonNak monitors web sites and records and optionally reports problems
detected. It also gathers detailed statistics. SiteMonNak also includes network
link speed testing to increase reliability even when you have a lot of data
being transfered via your internet access. Https sites can also be checked along
with their security certificates. |
| Using SiteMonNak |
It is probably a good idea to leave the "Show Hints" option under "Settings" -
"General" enabled as there are pop-up hints for practically every setting on
SiteMonNak. You can also press F1 to bring up detailed context based help. |
Set up the URL of the sites you want to monitor, select the details you want
monitored. |
The SystemTray icon changes color when one of the sites being monitored has
problems. |
If you are using audio warnings you can stop a warning that is playing via by
single-clicking the SystemTray icon. |
| Requirements |
Windows 95/98 or higher or Windows NT 4.0 or higher. To run as a service
requires Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP. |
| Installation Notes |
If you are installing a new version of this software you should stop the old
version first. |
| Trial Period |
During the trial period all features are available for monitoring up to three
sites. Email alerts sent during this trial period state that the alert was
created by a trial version of SiteMonNak. |
| Trial and License Expiry Warnings |
You will get a warning on the final few days of the trial period or where your
license is about to expire. |
| Registration |

Differences between the free version and the registered version:
- Priority when asking for technical support.
- More sites can be monitored - dependant on the license chosen.
- More frequent site checks allowed - dependant on the license chosen.
- Testing using HTTPS and non-HTTP sites requires a SiteMonNak commercial
license.
- Emailing several addresses, custom email subjects, execute programs and
per-site test result logging require a SiteMonNak commercial license. |
