Why doesn't the program start minimized when I start it, it used to?
The trial period is 30 days, after 20 days the program will not start minimized (you can minimize it manually).

I installed NoiseNakPlus and now I have no sound. Why?
This appears a very rare problem and the solution appears to be to reinstall the sound card drivers and then it works correctly.

If you have this problem please email us with the following -
Operating System e.g. Win95/Win98 etc.
Type of sound card
Type and speed of your CPU e.g. Pentium 2, 266 MHz

Please send email this to noisenakplusnosound@nakware.com

I get an error message, "Error writing Version data", when using NoiseNakPlus on a computer running WinXP using a "Limited Access" account. What can I do?
NoiseNakPlus requires read/write/create access to the HKey_Local_Machine\Software\ComSoft\NoiseNakPlus (and its sub-trees) portion of the registry, you can use RegEdt32 to grant this (via Permissions).

After installing NoiseNakPlus I logged on as another user and there are already setting set up, why is this?
NoiseNakPlus is designed for a common setup such as in a library or a school, so all users have the same settings. If you require separate setting for each user NoiseNak may be the product you require.

After changing the docking position setting of the ButtonBar and applying it the ButtonBar does not change positions until I restart it - why?
This is set to work this way as the ButtonBar should never need to be moved once set up - if you need to see what a different position looks like: close the ButtonBar (via the right-click menu on its icon on the task bar) and restart it (via the normal "Start" - "Programs" ... menu).
Special Note: This action has been automated in V3.4.0

After using "Smart Setup" and selecting an option when I go back into "Smart Setup" it is back on the original setting - why?
"Smart Setup" is used to preset the configuration, after that it is not used until you select another configuration.
This has been made clearer to understand in V3.4.0

After installing NoiseNakPlus I logged on as another user and there are no setting set up, why is this?
The most likely reason is that for security reasons access to parts of the registry has been prevented, or the registry may have been restored to a known state that excludes the NoiseNakPlus settings (SysDiff and .INF files are the most likely cause in this situation).

Are there any tools to help testing an installation?
There is a simple test program available click here to download.

I am using Automatic Level Control and getting a "running out of memory" message after a period of time, what can I do?
This problem has been fixed, update to the latest version.

I am trying to setup NoiseNakPlus where it will allow the music volume to go up when the people at the bar make more noise than the stereo system, however there is a sno-ball effect and the volume goes up too much and never will go back down. Are there any recommendations for settings?
You are needing to minimize the affect of the stereo on the final volume and maximize the effect of the patron noise so here are a couple of suggestions ...
First suggestion: Look at the microphone location - to prevent the stereo holding the level up have the microphone somewhere the patron volume is more noticeable than then stereo. This may be off to the side, behind a pillar or partition etc.
Second suggestion: The microphone - you may require a more directional microphone aimed away from the stereo.
Once you have done either of these alter the settings for the best fine tuning.
