I just updated Norton AntiVirus and now NikNak appears to have stopped or NikNak runs really slowly? (there have been no reports of this happening)
This issue has been reported to Symantec. Currently the best work-around is to disable AutoProtect scanning when "opening, copying or moving" in the options of Norton AntiVirus - we suggest that you try restoring this setting after your next antivirus update.
Update: The latest version of NikNak has a fix for this AntiVirus issue.

Right click on the item you want to add, select "Create Shortcut", then drag the created shortcut onto NikNak (you can now delete the created shortcut, it is no longer required).

I have NikNak set up as an autohiding docked window and sometimes it does not pop up when I slide the mouse to that edge, why does this happen and what can I do about it?
There are a few programs out there that interfere with the operation of docked windows. To re-enable the pop-up action double-click on the NikNak icon in the System Tray..

When I start NikNak I get asked if I want an internet connection?
This is a problem only with the unregistered version and is rare, it is caused by the ad-sponsoring. The solution is to uninstall the current version an install the current version. This version is designed not to have this problem. Update - All ad-sponsoring has been removed.
